The autumnal weather at Farrington Park on Tuesday 17th October, was the perfect backdrop for the annual OGGS against the School fixture. The day unfolded across two courses and concluded with a close victory for the OGGS, with a final score of 5-4.
The morning session took place on the 18-hole Duchy Course, where both teams demonstrated their skills. The OGGS managed to secure a lead, winning the morning session 4-2. It was a closely contested round that showcased the golfing talent on display.
Following the morning round, both teams united to enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, the competition continued with two rounds of pairs on the 9-hole Manor Course. The School fought back, securing victory in two out of three matches, ultimately taking this part of the competition 2-1.
A special mention goes to pupils Sakae and Seb, who displayed exceptional skills by remaining undefeated throughout the day. Their remarkable performance significantly contributed to the School’s efforts.
However, despite the School’s commendable comeback in the afternoon, the OGGS held on to their lead from the morning session, securing an overall victory with a final score of 5-4.
