Yesterday we joined together virtually to celebrate the achievements of our school community in academia, sport, performing arts, and for contributions of service to the School and wider society.

During the day we enjoyed an opening prayer from Prior Nicholas, followed by speeches from the new Chair of Governors, Dr Giles Mercer, President of St Gregory’s Society Rupert Orchard (R74), Head Master Mr Hobbs and our current Heads of School, Georgia Bolton and Mateusz Kapustka. We are very thankful to Georgia and Mateusz for all their service to the School – they will be missed. They pass the roles on to Katharina Luetzenkirchen and Nicholas Hobbs.

Fr Timothy Radcliffe (S63) was the recipient of the Old Gregorian Medal, an award that recognises the outstanding contribution an Old Gregorian has made either to society as a whole or to St. Gregory’s Society. Sixth Formers Oxiana Canellas and Laurence Lundy were delighted to be each awarded the prestigious Gregorian Medal.

Our congratulations go, not only to our prize winners, but to all our pupils who have worked so tremendously hard throughout the year, and shown incredible resilience during lockdown, supporting each other these past few months. The event was also a chance, as a whole school, to say a fond ‘adieu’ to our leavers, and particularly our Upper Sixth. We hope to be able to welcome back the Upper Sixth to the School for their Leavers’ Ball when possible.
