Downside School have started their gruelling Ten Tors training for this year. Earlier in the month 19 pupils spent the day exploring Dartmoor whilst building up their fitness levels. The pupils walked 16km and took charge of the majority of the map reading.
A squad of 16 pupils have now been selected from that initial training session. They will attend Easter Camp for four days of training before the final two teams of six are selected to represent the School at the Ten Tors Event in May.
Ten Tors is just one of the many wider curriculum activities available at Downside. We also offer Sailing, in our own boats kindly raised by our Annual Fund, Fencing, Gardening, Stone Carving and CCF – so there’s something for everyone. Click here to find out more about what else we offer.
