‘The “effect you have on others is the most valuable currency you can give”.’

Last Tuesday Lower Sixth Form pupils participated in a virtual retreat organised by Mr Andrewartha and Fr James. Although not physically together, the feeling in the virtual retreat space was one of a strong sense of community spirit.

Speakers included the Reverend Martyn Watson (Logos House, Salvation Army), current parent Iona White (Help for Homeless) and Fr Richard McKay (Parish Priest of St Nicholas Tolentino). Fr McKay focussed his talk on reaching out to the community. He spoke about seeing, judging and acting in order to reduce injustice occurring in society; he stressed the importance of action and of treating everyone we encounter equally, referring to the current BlackLivesMatter issues.
