Supporting the Downside School site purchase

Downside School is currently raising funds to purchase its site, together with the former Monastery, from Downside Abbey. Securing these freeholds will enable us to realise the full potential of the School and the wider estate, strengthening our long-term financial resilience.

We are profoundly grateful for the generous support we have already received from OGs and friends over many years – whether through regular gifts to the 1814 Society, one-off donations to bursary or capital funds, or legacy commitments. We are now inviting all who are able to support our mission to raise the funds required to acquire the School and Monastery freeholds.
