Strength and Conditioning

Strength and conditioning is an element of sporting life in which the main goal is to help boost further the overall outcomes which occur on pitch, court or field. Whether that’s running faster, jumping higher or being stronger, each sport requires different qualities and skills to help improve their performance.
For younger pupils this can be done by improving the quality of movement patterns, hand eye coordination and reaction time as well as starting to build a solid foundation for strength, power and speed adaptions. For older pupils, we start looking more specifically as to what their sport (or sports) demand and what can be done to help improve each individual athlete in these areas. Each athlete is set a specialised programme which can be tweaked for individual performance, dependant on what the individual requires as well as the sport or sports requirements.
Programmes for pre-habilitation and rehabilitation are provided and utilised to help prevent and recover from injuries; helping pupils continue playing sport injury free or helping them get back to playing sport as quickly and efficiently as possible.
