On Tuesday the 24th May, the School Communities of St Luke, St John, St Teresa, and St Francis, gathered for our annual end of year BBQ at the Cricket Pavilion.
The event started with a whole group activity, to get everyone moving around, followed by some lectio together. After our BBQ food, we gave thanks for what has taken place throughout the year for the communities and testimonies were said from one Upper Sixth Form from each community and Miss Doherty, our Artist in Residence, who is leaving us this year, also spoke of the newly formed St Francis community. Miss Doherty spoke about her role as staff leader this year and the impact that the community has had on her. Mr Hobbs, Mr Randall and other staff leaders shared a voice of thanks to the community members, especially to those who will be leaving us this year.
As a thank you, they have been given a copy of ‘I Have Seen the Lord‘, a book of 38 testimonies compiled by ‘The Weave of Manquehue Prayer’.
