On Thursday 18th November, the President of St Gregory’s Society, Jonny Grew (C77), welcomed 110 OGs to the St Gregory’s Society London Dinner at the East India Club in St James’s.

This was the President’s first London Dinner event since his election, with a great turn out of OGs across generations. The youngest was our most recent leavers from 2020, through to our two distinguished OGs who left in 1954. The evening was full of friendship, new and old, of those who share a common love of Downside.

Special thanks to Tom Heaven (C01), William Harwood (B16), Georgia Bolton (C20) and Rupert Orchard (R74) for encouraging attendance of their contemporaries. Our 2001 leavers were able to reminisce the old times, with current House Master of Barlow, Simon Potter, who also joined the Old Gregorians for the evening.

The Dinner began with the traditional Latin grace from Dom Leo, followed by speeches from the President and Head, Andrew Hobbs.

As another successful dinner came to a close many OGs disappeared into the winter night to create more memories.
