The 147th Annual General Meeting of St Gregory’s Society was held on Sunday 15th September 2024 at Downside School.
Before the start of the AGM, Old Gregorians joined the School and the wider community for Mass in the Abbey Church, followed by refreshments in the Butler Room.
At 11.30am, attendees gathered in the Aylward Room, Old House, where the President, Ken Beedle (R73), opened the AGM with a prayer and welcomed the Head, Andrew Hobbs, the Chair of Governors, John Ludlow (C82) and the five other Members present; Hannah Field (I14), Elena McFarlane (I13), Stephen Stokes (C78), Martin Waller (Ra72) and Simon Westlake (S81). Director of Development, Jess Newman, was also present.
Key highlights from the meeting included the election of Martin Waller (Ra72) as the new Honorary Treasurer, succeeding Ben Jennings (R73), and the appointment of new Council members, including Elena McFarlane (I13) and Jane Janvier (S82).
