It is always a pleasure to welcome OGs back to Downside and what better way to showcase their career experience than at our next Career Fair on Saturday 9th March.

Many OGs will remember the exciting arrival of film company Cowboy Films in the summer of 2001, where the beautiful grounds and buildings of Downside School were used as a backdrop for the film The HolePupils from the School were included in some of the scenes. The filming of a rugby match was particularity memorable, despite Downside Boys having to wear a strip similar to arch-rivals Sherborne.

What is interesting is how this opportunity was the catalyst to a future career path. After being a part of The Hole filming, Dominic Tighe (C01) was inspired to work with Bray Film Studios during the summer holidays. He then decided upon a career in acting, where he has worked extensively and very successfully across film, television and theatre.

The opportunity for current pupils to connect with OGs in their area of interest and to hear personal experiences is invaluable. If you would like to be involved in a future Career Fair, please contact Jess
