SIXTH FORM LECTURE: DOWNSIDE FISHER YOUTH CLUB

What an inspiring way to start the academic year’s Sixth Form Lecture series at Downside School – with a challenge to the School to get involved with and support those less fortunate than ourselves, namely the Downside Fisher Youth Club.

Robert Coke (S90), Chairman of the Downside Fisher Youth Club, described how the wider Downside community has enabled the youth club in Bermondsey, London, to thrive since the early 1900s and how OGs are still actively involved in the running and financial support of the Club. The challenge to the current school, pupils and staff, is how we can use our time and talents to best help the young people who attend the DFY Club.
