The whole Downside community came together at the Old Gregorian War Memorial on Saturday 11th November for a Service of Remembrance.
Following the laying of wreaths by the Head, Andrew Hobbs, President of St Gregory’s Society, Jonny Grew (C77) and the Heads of School, JUO Lily-Rose read out the names and brief obituary of the nine OGs who lost their lives, on land in 1943, whilst pupils placed a cross at the foot of the War Memorial. The Exhortation was given by Lieutenant Colonel Neill Barrett and the Kohima by Captain Oliver Simper. The CCF led the parade and were accompanied by the School Band.
