The whole Downside community came together at the Old Gregorian War Memorial on Saturday 11th November for a Service of Remembrance.
Wreaths were laid by Johnny Grew (C77), Andrew Hobbs, the Heads of School. JUO Lily-Rose read out the names of the OGs who lost their lives, on land in 1943 – Captain David William Drabble, Lieutenant John Wilson Bacon, Lieutenant Count Charles Nicolas Joh Blucher, Captain Peter Henry Francis Crofts, Major James Joseph Roche-Kelly MC, Captain Arthur Alfred Burdon-Ellis, Captain Michael John Carroll, Major Neil Beauchamp Selby and Major Arthur Patrick Kevin O’Connor. The Exhortation was given by Lieutenant Colonel Neill Barrett and the Kohima by Captain Oliver Simper. The CCF led the parade and were accompanied by the School Band.
