SCIENCE WEEK 2018
What an amazing series of inspiring science-themed events we’ve experienced this week at Downside.
Mr Rigby and his department hosted a broad series of talks and experiments for pupils (and staff) of all ages to explore.
Each day, a ‘Quantum breakfast’ was available in the form of an online lecture from MIT to get everyone in the zone. A joint psychology and physics show took place in the theatre, junior pupils went ‘all about worms’ from Monday to Wednesday, whilst a forensics project focused on Science and Religion, and a Lungs in Action workshop was available for those in the First to Third Forms. The Abingdon debating society discussed the ethics of science, there was a Bloodhound lecture and also a cosmology club for those interested.
