It was a pleasure to welcome so many members of the Petre Society and their guests to Downside on Thursday 17th February.
The day began with a private Mass for all Petre Society members, followed by refreshments in the Weld Cafe where the Head, Andrew Hobbs, and Abbot Nicholas held a Question and Answer session regarding the Monks’ departure from Stratton-on-the-Fosse and the future of the School. After, the Community kindly welcomed guests to the Monastic Refectory for a wonderful lunch. It was an extremely enjoyable day and a delight to welcome so many people back to Downside in person.
