It was a pleasure to welcome so many Petre Society Members and their guests to celebrate St Gregory’s Day on 12th March. The Petre Society is made up of individuals who have pledged to remember Downside in their will, which is just one of the ways to support us

The day started with whole School Mass, followed by drinks in the Weld Café where the Head Master, Andrew Hobbs, and the Prior, held an open forum discussion regarding the recent separation between the School and Monastery. Following this, the Community kindly welcomed guests to the Monastic Refercotry for a fantastic lunch.

Thank you to all who were able to make the event, it was an extremely enjoyable day and those who were unable to join us were missed. We are grateful for the continued support from all members and and look forward to welcoming you back next year, if not before.

If you would like more information on how to become a member of the Petre Society and leave a legacy to Downside, please contact Jane Vines.
