It is with great pleasure that Jonathan Grew (C77), President of St Gregory’s Society, announces Dom James Hood (B72) and William White (B14) as this year’s Old Gregorian Medallists.
During this year’s Prize Day Ceremony on Friday 1st July, Fr James received his OG Medal for always being a figure in the Old Gregorian and Downside Community who gives an exemplary contribution to society. Not only has he given his life to the Monastic Community, where he has served the School as Deputy House Master of Caverel, House Master of Barlow and until more recently, School Chaplain, he has also support the Downside Fisher Youth Club and the Order of Malta Volunteers for many years.
The second recipient, William White (B14), was awarded the Old Gregorian Medal for his outstanding contribution to charities across the world including, Mary’s Meals. William is also a member of 2 PARA and more recently served as part of the rescue mission in Kabul.
