During the half-term break, rugby coach Max Gauntlett took a trip to Kenya.
Whilst there, he visited a children’s sports club in Timau, taking a selection of donated Downside sports kit. The rugby jerseys will be used as soccer kits for fixtures and the netball dresses will be used by their girl’s volleyball team.
Max also led the enthusiastic children in some training sessions and was thrilled to see the smiles on the faces of the children with their new kit. We hope to develop this partnership further in the future, making sure that any unwanted or discontinued uniform is not wasted.
