LOCAL CONCERT SERIES LAUNCHED BY DOWNSIDE MUSIC SCHOLARS

Sixth Formers Oscar Healy and Julian Chan are no strangers to vocal solos and, last Saturday, they took their talents to St Margaret’s Church, Hinton Blewett where they launched the Parish’s ‘Music at Noon’ concert series with a recital of lieder, aria and song. 

An appreciative audience heard music from Handel, Schumann, Dowland and Porter – all beautifully sung as you can hear from the video of the recital by clicking on the link below. Music at Noon is a series of fundraising concerts which support music in this rural parish and especially showcase talented young local musicians. 

This was the second time Oscar and Julian have featured as soloists at Hinton Blewett, as they were also part of the very successful performance of Faure’s Requiem in November.
