On Thursday 10th October the whole community gathered together in the Fleischner Theatre for the much-anticipated House Singing Competition, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement, teamwork, and some truly impressive performances from all the houses.
Each house —whether it was Roberts, Barlow, Smythe, Isabella or Caverel — brought their best, showcasing not only their musical talents but also their creativity and school spirit.
Karen Randall Head of Academic Music said: “The competition was about more than just singing; it was a celebration of collaboration, hard work, and unity. Pupils have worked for weeks, rehearsing in their groups, fine-tuning every note, and perfecting their choreography.”
Every performance was a feast for the senses, with harmonies that left the audience in awe, lively stage presence, and unique musical arrangements; from energetic pop tunes, to beautiful renditions of hymns and soulful part songs, each house offered something special that kept the audience cheering for more.
Our thanks go to our distinguished adjudicator Andrew Trewhella who had a very difficult job to decide who would win each of the categories.
