On Friday 16th June, OGs and their guests gathered at the New Club on princes street in Edinburgh for a reunion dinner, kindly hosted by Richard Warren (B77).
The evening began with a welcome drink before everyone was seated for supper. The President of St Gregory’s Society, Jonny Grew (C77), said grace prior to a delicious three-course-meal and an address by the Head, Andrew Hobbs. Thank you to Richard for organising such an enjoyable evening that concluded with stunning sunset views of Edinburgh Castle from the balcony of the New Club.
In addition to Richard, Jonny and Andrew, Anthony Dickson (U84), Nicholas Kemp (S56), Joanna Kemp, James Leeper (C76), Rory Maclachlan (Ra76), Francis Maxwell (B73), Michael McNaught-Davis (C82), Mary Jane Platt (Ra76), Alastair Watson, Jonathan Woodhouse (C82), Dawn Woodhouse, Damaris Hobbs and Jess Newman were also in attendance.
Richard commented that ‘it was a great evening with a record number of attendees for the Edinburgh Dinner. Excellent food, plenty to drink, and many old stories shared by OGs covering a long history of the Downside experience over the years! Roll on the next dinner and maybe an even bigger attendance next time!’
