An early Easter meant that Downside had its best daffodils ever and with plenty of sunshine everyone enjoyed a wonderful Easter Retreat. A large crowd tackled the Cross Walk from Wells on Good Friday and Father Dominic escorted smaller people on a shorter version in the afternoon.
Father Anselm gave the Discourses in the new Theatre and the ladies from Chile led a Lectio Divina group in the afternoon. A tour of the Monastery Library was available for the first time and was oversubscribed. Dr Simon Johnson talked about the treasures we are unearthing as the development project moves into its third year.
As always the Liturgy was the highlight with superb organisation by Father James and his team of helpers.
