Downside Sixth Form
The last two years of your school life are the most important part of your school career, from the subjects you choose at A Level to gaining a place at your first choice university.
We welcome new pupils into the Sixth Form. It is a vibrant and inclusive community, working collaboratively with teachers, and encouraging independent learning and thought. You will enjoy the independence and new opportunities that come with life at a boarding school in England.
These two years are the springboard to your future life and career and we have experienced professionals available throughout the Sixth Form to help you. They will advise on how to take forward your UCAS application and will help with fast track planning if you have the potential to study at Oxbridge, Russell Group or Ivy League universities.
Downside Sixth Form will give you the chance to take on more responsibility, to show leadership and service. There are key roles in the School such as Head of School, Head of House, Captain of sports teams and CCF appointments as well as a host of extra opportunities in performing arts. You can join a range of societies, debate topical issues and discover, explore and establish your own values and opinions.
A Level Subject Fair
Each Autumn, we host an A Level Subject Fair. It’s an essential opportunity offering Year 11 pupils the chance to speak to our teachers about the content of the A Level courses that they teach, as well as to meet current Sixth Formers. You can also visit us on our Open Day or arrange a private visit at any time. Drop our Admissions team an email today to express your interest.
