DISCOVER MORE ABOUT THE DOWNSIDE RADIO SHOW
28 Mar 2019
Started as an idea by Mr Walters for a three-day student project in June 2018, the Downside Radio Show now records every week and is then edited into a half-termly show.
The Show follows the BBC in its mission to ‘inform, educate and entertain’ with the resulting show being released on Downside’s SoundCloud and School Facebook sites every half-term. The show is modelled on various well-loved radio features, such as Desert Island Discs and John Craven’s Newsround. It also includes interviews, satire, music and sports news.
WE WANT YOU!
Downside Radio would like more students to be involved with the Show. We currently have five presenters but need more as well as behind-the-scenes assistance, field interviewers and news writers, and writers for the satirical section. To be part of the show, please contact Mr Jones or Mr Walters.
