DOWNSIDE RADIO SHOW
Started as an idea by Mr Walters had for a three-day student project in June, the Downside Radio Show now records every Tuesday between 3:45 and 5pm.
The Show follows the BBC in its mission to ‘inform, educate and entertain’. with the resulting show being released on Downside’s SoundCloud and School Facebook sites every half-term.
The show is modelled on various well-loved radio features, such as Desert Island Discs and John Craven’s Newsround. It also includes interviews, satire, music and sports news.
Also in the show:
Downside Naturewatch: a witty look at the human life of the school
Three Minutes with Jesus: a tongue in cheek ‘spiritual’ slot with Dr Jesus Tapia
Random Interview: a slot featuring anyone from the school who wants to be interviewed. You could be next!
WE WANT YOU!
Downside Radio would like more students to be involved with the Show. We currently have five presenters but need more as well as behind-the-scenes assistance, field interviewers and news writers, and writers for the satirical section.
