Saturday 1st March saw the much-anticipated return of the Downside Association Curry and Quiz Night, this year held in the stunning Sixth Form Centre.
The modern and welcoming space of the new Sixth Form Centre proved to be the perfect setting for an evening of great food, friendly competition, and community spirit.
Quiz Master Andrew Walsh-Waring (B82) was again at the helm, delivering a brilliantly crafted quiz that had teams puzzling, debating, and—at times—second-guessing their answers. The mix of current and past parents, OGs, staff, and members of the wider community made for a lively atmosphere, with plenty of laughter (and a touch of competitive tension… best not to mention the macaques!).
Thank you to the catering team, who once again provided a delicious spread of curries that did not disappoint. As always, the battle for victory was fierce, but in the end, the Quiztina Aguilera team emerged triumphant.
A huge thank you to the Downside Association for organising such an enjoyable evening, to Andrew Walsh-Waring for keeping us on our toes, and to everyone who joined us for a fantastic night. We look forward to seeing even more new and familiar faces at next year’s event!
