We’re thrilled with the news that Head Chef, James Lowe, has been selected for the prestigious LACA School Chef of the Year award.
James will prepare a two-course meal – of Courgette, carrot and chickpea potato rosti served with poached egg, mozzarella croquettes, cheese sauce and salsa, followed by a ‘Downside Royal Charlie’, a fruit flavoured layered panna cotta set in a swiss roll dome – at the regional heat, in Bristol, next week.
He said of the experience, “It’s exciting to take part and it highlights what we’re already doing here at the school. I’ve chosen a vegetarian menu as this is something I’m passionate about; vegetarian and vegan food is popular with the pupils, too“. We’ll be keeping fingers and toes crossed… good luck, James!
