Ceremonial Parade at Downside School

Today the School CCF contingent, on the occasion of her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, conducted a ceremonial parade, including a royal salute and three cheers.

This photo was taken from the top of the Roberts Tower, showing the contingent arranged in formation to pay their respects to the Queen.

It was with great pleasure that we witnessed our affiliated regiment, The Irish Guards, troop the colour on Friday in London. We were delighted that Lieutenant Charlie Bashall was given the honour to collect the new Colours from the Drum. Lieutenant Bashall joined us at Downside for our 2021 Remembrance Service.  It is with great pride that we share our affiliation with such a historic regiment in the British Army.

It was great to see OG Freddie Hobbs (S16) at the Jubilee Parade as Detachment Commander. Freddie can be seen on the front left side, leading the parade.
