On Sunday 10th November the CCF Band along with the Pipes and Drums had the honour of leading the Bath Remembrance Parade.
As you may know, the Bath Remembrance Parade is a significant and solemn event, bringing together the community to honour and remember the sacrifices made by our armed forces. For the CCF Band to be invited once gain to lead such an important occasion was a moment of great pride for Downside School.
Pupils showed a level of professionalism, reverence, and musicality that truly reflected the values of the school and the solemnity of the occasion. As they marched through the streets of Bath, their playing was a poignant tribute to the fallen and a testament to their hard work and discipline. It was clear that their performance left a lasting impression on all those present.
The honour of leading the parade was not just a reflection of the band’s musical skill but also of the character and commitment our pupils bring to everything they do. We are incredibly proud of the way the band conducted themselves, and the feedback we received from the community, local officials, and fellow participants was overwhelmingly positive.
