Sixth Form pupils studying Art and History of Art have recently returned from an incredible five day study tour to Paris.
The group visited the Louvre, Pompidou Centre, Musee D’Orsay, Sainte-Chapelle, Musee Marmottan, Paris Opéra, Rodin Museum, Palace of Versailles, Raincy, Villa Savoye and Musee de L’Orangerie. Everyone was inspired and sometimes overwhelmed, by the scale and beauty of some of the paintings, sculptures and artefacts they saw. In between the museums and galleries, pupils tucked into crepes and other delicious French cuisine as well as the inevitable trip up the Eiffel Tower to see the sights of this unique city. It was a thoroughly educational and fascinating trip for all.
