Old Gregorian Golfing Society – SUMMER MEETING 2026

Old Gregorian Golfing Society

SUMMER MEETING 2026
Thursday 18th June (pm) – Mendip Golf Club
Friday 19th June (all day) – Burnham & Berrow Golf Club

Dear All

As many of you will know, the 26 members who attended the Spring Meeting at Denham in May enjoyed a wonderful day. It was a delight to welcome new and returning members and I hope we can continue this fresh wave of engagement into the meetings for the rest of 2026 and beyond.

The Summer meeting is approaching fast and we would love to entice members to take the chance to get away for the social whirl that is the OGGS AGM and the golfing treat of Burnham & Berrow GC! We have a number of stalwarts signed up already but it would be great to see some new faces as well. Drag along some old classmates or housemates, enjoy a wonderful golf course and reminisce about how Downside was so much better/worse in your day!

Itinerary:

We play at Mendip on Thursday afternoon 18th June where we are joined by golfers from Downside.

This year we will stay in Burnham-on-Sea on Thursday evening with dinner and AGM held at the Burnham & Berrow GC.

We play the wonderful and testing Burnham & Berrow on the Friday 19th June with foursomes in the morning and singles in the afternoon.

Please let us know as soon as possible whether you will be able to join us. We appreciate that Somerset is not the easiest location for some but we would be really delighted to see Denham levels of participation, particularly if some of you who haven’t made the trip before would make the effort to join us for the centrepiece of the society’s calendar.

Please specify:

–                 whether you would like to attend the whole meeting or just a part

–                 whether you need accommodation

–                 whether you will attend dinner on Thursday evening at Burnham & Berrow GC

Best Wishes

Richard
