RAF Education Roadshow
07 Jun 2016
The RAF Education Roadshow inspired pupils in the 3rd form with their “Fun with Flight” presentation, this week.
Pupils discovered how the physics they study in the classroom is an integral part of the work that engineers undertake in the RAF and other engineering organisations. The jaw-dropping demonstrations included drones, balloons, airships and even a jet engine. Pupils also learnt about the microlight world altitude record and the physics behind how the RAF achieved this. The show actively promoted women in engineering and sought to demystify the work of engineers. It was a brilliant illustration of exciting careers in STEM.
