3 Days in June
06 Jul 2016
Each year at Downside pupils and staff spend ‘3 Days in June’ during the last week of term, getting involved in a range of new activities before departing for the summer break.
This year the pupils took every opportunity to try something new; the halls were alive with the sound of Samba drumming, cameras clicked around the site as budding photographers practiced their art, plus there was a Great Downside Bake Off taking place in the Powell Kitchen. A drama production of ‘The Streets’ took place underneath the Theatre stage, Artist-in-Residence Evie Kitt hosted an exhibition, and there were various sporting activities [including Ultimate Frisbee]. A few pupils found themselves at the end of term with enough energy to take part in Gardening activities….a few of them even built a pond!
Well done to all. Time for a rest…Happy Summer!
