Unbeaten Hockey

Huge congratulations to the 1st XI girls’ hockey team as they achieve a string of unbeaten successes.

New Hockey coach, Mr King, has been celebrating a series of wins for the 1st XI girls’ hockey as they fought competition from Leweston (6-0), Bruton School for Girls (5-1), Monkton Combe (4-1), Wells Cathedral School (6-0), and Milton Abbey (4-0) in recent weeks.

Mr King said of the team’s success, “I am extremely proud of the girls. I set them the challenge of going unbeaten after half term, and 5 games in, the run is still going! Everyone who has played in those games has stepped up and made their mark, which will help to push us forward going into our last 2 matches of term where we will need to be at the top of our game to finish the term off strongly”.

The U15 girls’ hockey team are also making brilliant progress; under the guidance of Miss Cook and Mr Cabral they are also unbeaten in 5 games, which has included 3 wins and 2 draws.
