There are four Year Groups in St Oliver’s House:

Lower First / Year 5 (Age 9-10)
Upper First / Year 6 (Age 10-11)

Lower Second / Year 7 (Age 11-12)
Upper Second / Year 8 (Age 12-13)

Boys and girls are admitted in all Year Groups as boarders and day pupils.

Admission to St Oliver’s House is normally at age nine into the Lower First Form (Year 5) or at age eleven into the Lower Second Form (Year 7).

Boys and girls may also join St Oliver’s House in the Upper First Form (Year 6) and the Upper Second Form (Year 8), when places are available.

Admission is via written assessments in English, Mathematics and general reasoning taken in the Lent Term before a pupil is due to join St Oliver’s House, and by reports from the pupil’s previous school. (11+ scholarship examinations and auditions for music awards are held annually in February. Please click here for further details.)

Admission is at the absolute discretion of the Head Master.
