Praise for Grounds Staff at Downside

The Grounds Staff at Downside have enjoyed a moment in the spotlight, with their work heralded as an example to follow.

Regular visitors will have noticed an improvement in the appearance of the sports pitches as the team have trialled a new product in recent months.  The Groundsman magazine (October 2017) spoke to Steve Eade about the issues of drainage on the 1st rugby pitch, in particular. Having used a new product earlier in the spring, Steve was delighted to share stunning images of site.

The school was profiled as an example to follow in the following titles: The Groundsman, Greenkeeping, Local Gardener , LAPU, and Turf Business.

In addition, many will have spotted how fantastic the Monastery Gardens looked in the recent BBC Four programme, filmed during the summer with wild garlic and flowers aplenty.

Well done, Steve and team!
