Oxbridge Musical Success

We’re thrilled with the news that Matthew Walters has been successful both in his Organ Scholarship audition and in his Classics interview at Homerton College, Cambridge.

Director of Music, Julian McNamara, said: ‘This is wonderful news, and we’re very proud of Matthew. He is a talented, versatile and extremely hard-working musician. He first conducted our 80-strong choir at the age of only 14, in a performance of one of his own compositions of a full Mass setting. He’s already working hard to achieve the A level grades necessary for him to be able to accept the place next summer.’

Three other pupils were successful last week in their auditions for choral scholarships at various Oxbridge colleges, and we wish them all the very best as they now prepare for their subject interviews.
