Events this Spring at Downside

Downside School hosts a series of events this Spring, open to the public.

On Friday 26th February, at 7.30pm, pupils from Downside School and Writhlington School unite forces to present their Annual Charity Showcase ConcertThe concert will take place in the newly refurbished Downside Theatre, tickets are £6.00 for adults, £3.00 for OAP/U-16. The lively event will see a number of ensembles from the two schools take to the stage, with everything from String Groups to Bagpipes.

A drama production of Salad Days will take place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th March at 7.30pm.  Enduringly popular, the musical is charmingly light-hearted with a bright score. Premiered in Bristol in 1954, the show ran in the West End for over 2,000 performances. Tickets are free and members of the public can book online now. 

Mozart’s Requiem will fill the atmospheric Downside Abbey Church with sound on Tuesday 22nd March, 7pm. A full choir and orchestra will perform under the baton of new Director of Music, Julian McNamara. Tickets are free with a retiring collection, book to reserve your seat today.
