Easter trip to Paris

A group of students from the A2 French and History of Art classes, accompanied by Dr Sanders and Mr Rawlins, went to Paris for 5 days at the start of the Easter holidays, staying one again in the Beautiful City Hotel in Belleville.

The itinerary included visits to the Museum of the History of Immigration, the Rodin Museum, the Eiffel Tower, the Centre Pompidou, the Musée d’Orsay, the Louvre, the Villa Savoie in Poissy, Monet’s house and garden in Giverny, the Musée Marmottan and an evening in Montmartre.  The A level French students, as well as benefitting from the cultural side of the visit, were able to use extracts from the daily press to practise their comprehension and translation skills, as well as being offered extra oral practice in preparation for their upcoming A2 oral examination.
