The last two years of your school life are the most important part of your school career, from the subjects you choose at A Level to gaining a place at your first choice university. A number of new pupils join us for the sixth form and enjoy the independence and new opportunities that come with life at a boarding school.
These two years are the springboard to your future life and career and we have experienced professionals available throughout the Sixth Form to help you. They will advise on how to take forward your UCAS application and will help with fast track planning if you have the potential to study at Oxford and Cambridge or an Ivy League university.
Downside Sixth Form will give you the chance to take on more responsibility, to show leadership and service. There are key roles in the School such as Head of School, Head of House, Captain of sports teams and CCF appointments as well as the chance to star in the play or sing in the choir. You can join a range of societies, debate topical issues and discover, explore and establish your own values and opinions.
A Level Subject Fair & Sixth Form Open Day
Each Autumn, we host a Sixth Form Open Day and A Level Subject Fair. You will be able to visit all of our A Level subject teachers and learn more about the courses you are considering. Drop our Admissions team an email today to express your interest.
