The St Bede Centre provides
a unique setting for conferences, study days and
retreats, as well as exhibitions, in the quietly
industrious surroundings of a working Benedictine
monastery. |
Its
bright and spacious conference room contains modern
facilities within an environment that speaks of
timeless values and a tradition that stretches
back over centuries. It is adjacent to the Guest
House, where visitors can stay overnight, and is
directly above the Refectory, so that catering
needs can be readily provided for. There is access
on the ground level to the monastery grounds.
Some regular events in the St Bede Centre are Days
of Recollection, and the Seminar on the Rule of St
Benedict. It is used, numbers permitting, for occasional
talks and symposia.
