There are four chamber choirs
at Downside.
The boys’ and girls’ chamber
choirs number about twenty singers each. They specialise
in a cappella performances, both sacred and secular,
and meet weekly. Membership is by invitation only. The
chamber choirs sing mass on some Sundays, and over the
past few years have been much in demand for concerts,
society weddings and TV appearances.
The mixed chamber choir tours
regularly. Most recently, the choir performed a series
of concerts in Austria and Bavaria in summer 2007.
