Schola
Cantorum
Music in the Abbey Church continues
to inspire all who hear it. Almost 90 pupils now perform
together on a regular basis and we need more cassocks and
surplices to ensure that every member of the Schola can
wear the correct choir dress for Mass.

Floodlights
for Sport
As our sports teams enjoy a
revival in their fortunes we need to invest in portable
floodlights to enable us to provide extra coaching for
rugby and hockey players after lessons in the dark winter
months.

New Sixth
Form Common Room
As part of the development of
co-education we want to convert the Old Yard, more recently
the Sligger, into a junior common room for the sixth form.
A coffee machine and cosy sofas will give them a grown-up
space close to the heart of the School where they can socialise
together.

Bursaries
Your support is essential to
help us widen access and enable some pupils to come to
Downside who for financial reasons could not otherwise
do so. It also helps pupils to remain in the event of an
unforeseen change in family circumstances.

New CCF
buildings
A focal part of Downside's activity
programme it is where pupils learn to respect each other,
the value of working as a team, a sense of duty and the
all important leadership skills which give them confidence
for the outside world. The centenary of Downside's CCF
is 2009 so we plan to build a memorial.
