Art scholarships are offered,
following interviews and assessments, to boys and girls
who, whilst academically ambitious, show exceptional
artistic promise. They will be willing to experiment
with unfamiliar media and will be keen to study the works
of other artists through visits to galleries and workshops.
All-Rounder
Awards are offered
to boys and girls who, though not quite strong enough
to win an award outright, show outstanding all-round
ability. Successful applicants will have made a significant
contribution to the life of their current school and
will, in time, show the same commitment both inside and
outside the classroom at Downside.
