Old Gregorian sport thrives with regular cricket, golf and rugby fixtures and all the clubs welcome new members. One of the objects of St Gregory's Society is to unite and associate its members and therefore proposals from OG's to establish new sports clubs under the auspices of the Society will always find willing support.
Activities
In 1908 Downside Abbey and School founded the Downside Settlement in Bermondsey, a deprived area of London. The Settlement is still thriving, now called the Downside Fisher Youth Club. Old Gregorians take a keen interest in this charity that is still strongly supported by Downside School. Some OG’s volunteer to help at the club or assist in fundraising activities; others support the club by attending the annual boxing dinner held at a prestigious venue in central London.
