The monks sang Vespers in
Wells Cathedral during Christian Unity Week.
Christian Unity Week was
again marked by an exchange of liturgical hospitality
between Wells Cathedral and Downside Abbey. The Cathedral
Choir sang a glorious Evensong on the Sunday afternoon,
and we went to the Cathedral on a wet Friday evening
for Vespers (and tea with the Dean’s wife!). We are
very pleased at this collaboration between the two
biggest churches on the Mendips, at a time when a common
witness to the faith is so precious.
