Dom Richard and Dom James
attended a "Tutoria
Workshop" in Santiago, Chile, from 14th - 28th
July organised by the Manquehue Apostolic Movement.
Also attending were three chaplains from Ampleforth and
one from Worth.
During the workshop the
six chaplains from the three schools were kept busy
looking at what Tutoria means, going back to the foundation
of the Movement in the late seventies to the Tutoria
and Lectio Divina groups in the three Manquehue schools
in Santiago. The Tutoria workshop coincided with the
senior pupils working on the Missions and Works in
poor areas outside of Santiago. The chaplains saw lectio
groups and tutoria in the three schools, and at the
end of the workshop were asked to lead a group. Tutoria
is at the heart of the Manquehue spirituality - senior
pupils acting as spiritual mentors to the young pupils,
bringing the gospel, the Good News of Jesus to them.
