The distinguished author
and commentator Adam Zamoyski, opened this year’s series
of public lectures at Downside Abbey. Author of, The
Last King of Poland (London, 1998) and Rites
of Peace: the Fall of Napoleon and the Congress of
Vienna (London,
2007) et. al.
Zamoyski presented a narrative history detailing Poland’s
relationship with the Holy See from antiquity to today.
