Church of Saint Aldhelm
In 1938 a chapel dedicated to St Aldhelm, Abbot of
Malmesbury and Bishop of Sherborne, who died at
Doulting in Somerset, was opened. It was replaced
by the present mission-style church designed by
Francis Pollen in 1976. Its light interior contains
a mural of St Christopher by Maurice Perceval and
an icon of St Aldhelm by Silvia Dimitrova.
